about the consortium's study programs

A foreign applicant has the same conditions as an applicant from the Slovak Republic, but must complete a language and professional training course for the purpose of mastering the requirements of the study programme in the Slovak language. The test for the entrance exam must be taken in Slovak language (except for applicants from the Czech Republic).

  • An applicant who has been issued a certificate of a Slovak living abroad under a special regulation is considered to be a citizen of the Slovak Republic.
  • An applicant who has passed a non-matriculation examination in the Slovak language is obliged to submit a certificate proving the level of proficiency in the Slovak language (hereinafter referred to as the "certificate") or a confirmation of completion of an accredited course in the Slovak language (hereinafter referred to as the "confirmation"). The certificate or certificate must be issued by a Slovak language school that is registered in the network of schools and educational establishments of the Slovak Republic or by a university in the Slovak Republic that organises or carries out language or vocational training for study at the university. The certified document must be submitted by the date of enrolment.

Each programme has different criteria. Information about the terms and conditions of specific programmes is gradually added to their subpages.

To successfully complete your Bachelor's degree, you must:

  • complete all compulsory and the prescribed number of compulsory elective courses of the study programme,
  • get 180 credits,
  • prepare and defend a thesis,
  • take the state exam.


To successfully complete your engineering studies, you must:

  • complete all compulsory and the prescribed number of compulsory elective courses of the study programme,
  • 120 credits,
  • prepare and defend a thesis,
  • take the state exam.

Yeah! Both STU and EUBA have a number of agreements on international mobility. Just check what schools and countries your home university offers.

During their studies, students can do internships and participate in research or projects. It just depends on your skill, enthusiasm and determination.

Apply to the new programme and when you are accepted, you will enter the first year (B.Sc./Ing.). If you have already earned credits for courses that might be relevant to your new studies, you may be able to transfer them. Check with the Study Department of your new home university about your options.

Each study programme has its own admission criteria, so it is ideal to consult the study department of the faculty under which the study programme falls.

Of course. The recommended curriculum is made up of 3 categories of courses:

  1. compulsory - you have to take them,
  2. Compulsory electives - you must take a specified number of them and get a specified number of credits from them,
  3. selection - you choose the ones you like. They can be within your program or another program. You can even take a course from another faculty or another college.

There is no fee for studying.

You have a choice of 2 bachelor programmes:

  • Economics and management in the energy sector
  • Fintech and financial innovation

We also have 4 engineering programs:

  • Electronic Engineering and International Business
  • Management in nuclear - study in English
  • Urbanism

The first years of both the consortium's undergraduate and engineering programmes will start in the 2026/2027 academic year.

This is a joint study programme. You will be enrolled in both universities, one of them your home university and the other your partner university. So it depends on the programme you choose. You will deal with all administration with your home university.

At both universities depending on the schedule. But it never happens that you have to be in two places on the same day.

All STUxEUBA Consortium programs are attendance-based, meaning you must be physically present for both the lectures and the exercises.

At the moment, we offer these programmes as full-time study only.

Bc. you'll get in bachelor's programmes:

  • Economics and management in the energy sector

You can get an Eng. degree in engineering programmes:

  • Economics and management in the energy sector
  • Electronic Engineering and International Business
  • Management in nuclear

Title Ing. arch. you'll get in the engineering program:

  • Urbanism

No. You will receive 1 diploma that will list both universities. However, you only get one title.

All programmes, except the engineering programme Management in nuclear, are in Slovak language. However, some subjects may have a handout in English.
