The study takes place at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Slovak University of Technologyin cooperation with the Faculty of Business Management of the University of Economics in Bratislava.

As an engineer on this programme, you will know
- create international business strategies in the field of electronic engineering,
- Solve problems independently, coordinate processes in teams and make decisions about innovation in a manufacturing and international environment,
- Monitor, critically sort and implement the latest knowledge, applying economic, social, legal and ethical principles,
- design, solve and lead research projects, construct and design equipment of technological practice,
- Analyse new trends, integrate and exploit them for the development of electronic engineering and international business,
- present their own solutions to interdisciplinary problems in research, development and design,
- Know how to use CAD design tools for electronics, microelectronics and electrical engineering, as well as common programming tools for application development and technology development,
- Create hardware and software solutions in various areas of electrical engineering, including communications, microcomputer, control and power applications,

Your focus
This field is ideal for you if you studied economics, management or a technical field during your undergraduate studies.
Make your study plan
There are 3 types of courses in the programme:
- compulsory – you have to take them,
- Compulsory electives – you must take a specified number of them and get a specified number of credits from them,
- selection – you choose the ones you like. They can be within your program or another program. You can even take a course from another faculty or college.
The recommended study plan is designed so that by completing it you will meet the requirements for graduation within 2 years.
But you can adjust it to suit you – you just have to follow the rules set out study regulations.
Course of study
To be able to enrol in the next year of the programme, you need:
- obtain at least 15 credits in the first semester of study,
- obtain at least 30 credits per academic year,
- pass all repeatedly enrolled courses,
- not to exceed in the following period the permitted length of study according to the study regulations.
Obtaining the degree of engineer
In order to successfully complete your engineering degree in Electronic Engineering and International Business you must:
- complete all compulsory and the prescribed number of compulsory elective courses of the study programme,
- 120 credits,
- prepare and defend a thesis,
- take the state exam.
