The study takes place at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Slovak University of Technologyin cooperation with the Faculty of Business Management of the University of Economics in Bratislava.

- creation of models and simulations of systems and processes,
- the functioning of the economy, the financial sector and business finance
- risk management, banking and insurance sectors,
- economic, legal, moral, ethical, social and environmental aspects of the field.
As a bachelor of this programme you will be able to
- analyze, implement, modify and modernize computer and information systems,
- make decisions in the selection and use of methods, techniques and means of informatics,
- find their own solutions to problems in the design and use of information systems, with a particular focus on information systems security and on economics and management,
- work with standard economic and financial policy tools, software solutions and systems used in decision-making by public and private sector entities,
- monitor the development of computer and information technology.
Graduate employment
With this specialization you can work as a manager, analyst, system designer and specialist in banking, insurance, consulting firms, industry, schools, scientific and research institutions. You can design and manage information systems in a variety of businesses, organizations and services in both the private and public sectors.

Make your study plan
There are 3 types of courses in the programme:
- compulsory – you have to take them,
- Compulsory electives – you must take a specified number of them and get a specified number of credits from them,
- selection – you choose the ones you like. They can be within your programme or another programme. You can even take a course from another faculty or college.
The recommended study plan is designed so that by completing it you will meet the requirements for graduation within 3 years.
But you can adjust it to suit you – you just have to follow the rules set out study regulations.
Course of study
To be able to enrol in the next year of the programme, you need:
- obtain at least 15 credits in the first semester of study,
- obtain at least 30 credits per academic year,
- pass all repeatedly enrolled courses,
- not to exceed in the following period the permitted length of study according to the study regulations.
Obtaining a bachelor's degree
In order to successfully complete the Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management in the Energy Sector you must:
- complete all compulsory and the prescribed number of compulsory elective courses of the study programme,
- get 180 credits,
- prepare and defend a thesis,
- take the state exam.
Admission procedure
The deadline for submission of applications for the study programmes of the 1st cycle of studies in Slovak language is from 15 November 2025 to 30 April 2026.
The entrance examination for the 1st cycle of studies for study programmes in the Slovak language will be held at d 15 to 19 June 2026 at the University of Economics in Bratislava. There will be no alternate date for the entrance examination.
The entrance examination for the 1st degree of study for the study programme FinTech and Financial Innovation at the Faculty of National Economy consists of written tests:
- from the general study prerequisites,
- from one foreign language.
